Apple macOS Continuity Features Overview
This page on Apple's website explains Continuity, a set of features that connect Mac computers with iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch to let them work together seamlessly.
Continuity covers features like Handoff, which lets you start a task on one device and pick it up on another, and Universal Clipboard for copying and pasting across devices. AirDrop allows fast wireless file sharing between Apple devices. iPhone Mirroring, added more recently, lets users control their iPhone directly from a Mac. All features require devices to be signed into the same Apple ID and generally need Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to be active.
